Frogs (Kindy)
Kindy Age
independence, socialise, grow
Instilling a love of learning and discovery in the Kindergarten program is our focus for the biggest of our little people. Learning through play every day is of paramount importance. We focus on a holistic approach of building emotional, cognitive and physical development to ensure the children feel secure, supported and ready to take their next step.
Building on their early years, our educators guide pre-schoolers through important milestones as they prepare them for ‘big’ school (and life) by adopting the Queensland Kindergarten learning and development areas, and as supported by the Early Years Learning Framework of Australia, ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’. Belonging is integral to our existence, it acknowledges interdependence with others, the importance of relationship building and it shapes who we are and who we can become. Being recognises the significance of being in the present, engaging with life’s joys and complexities, and handling challenges in everyday life. Becoming reflects the importance of learning as children’s knowledge, understandings, capabilities, skills and relationships are shaped by experiences.
The Frogs children become extremely competent in guiding their own play as they explore, observe and engage with their friends. Our educators inspire the children by providing stimulating experiences and environments based on the children’s interests, strengths and individual learning needs. They support the children in discovering new information and they encourage them to ask questions and find solutions so that their world becomes a simple but intriguing space.
