Exploring through playtime is every pre-kindy’s favourite way to spend the day - learning everywhere and all the time! A calm surrounding with natural spaces, materials and stimulating activities, provides open-ended learning as our educators support the exploration of each individual’s environment through imagination and creativity. The children can wander, investigate and navigate their growing perceptions of the world through music, dance, art and dramatic play. Hours are spent running, jumping and climbing in the garden, unknowingly helping them develop self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-regulation of their emotions.

No two days are the same, as children’s experiences, ideas, and stories are shared to create a day’s activities. It is a revolving magical world of pirates, riding dragons, and princesses swirling in pretty dresses entwined with train track and wooden bridge constructions, and cooking up tasty dinners in the kitchen play area. Donning their explorer capes, they observe bugs and insects and find surprises in nature, before telling stories or singing songs on the wooden blocks at the bottom of the garden under the shade of the fabulous old camphor laurel trees. The children embrace ‘making sense of their world’ by engaging with their environment and their friends.
